(Gen 26:24 AMP) And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will favor you with blessings and multiply your descendants for the sake of My servant Abraham.

(Gen 27:10 AMP) And you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat and declare his blessing upon you before his death.

(Gen 31:53 AMP) The God of Abraham and the God of Nahor, and the god [the object of worship] of their father [Terah, an idolator], judge between us. But Jacob swore [only] by [the one true God] the Dread and Fear of his father Isaac.(2)

(Gen 37:10 AMP) And he told it to his father [as well as] his brethren. But his father rebuked him and said to him, What is the meaning of this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers actually come to bow down ourselves to the earth and do homage to you?

(Gen 37:20 AMP) So come on now, let us kill him and throw his body into some pit; then we will say [to our father], Some wild and ferocious animal has devoured him; and we shall see what will become of his dreams!

(Gen 38:11 AMP) Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, Remain a widow at your father's house till Shelah my [youngest] son is grown; for he thought, Lest perhaps [if Shelah should marry her] he would die also, as his brothers did. So Tamar went and lived in her father's house.

(Gen 38:13 AMP) Then it was told Tamar, Listen, your father-in-law is going up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

(Gen 38:25 AMP) When she was brought forth, she [took the things he had given her in pledge and] sent [them] to her father-in-law, saying, I am with child by the man to whom these articles belong. Then she added, Make out clearly, I pray you, to whom these belong, the signet [seal], [signet] cord, and staff.

(Gen 42:29 AMP) When they came to Jacob their father in Canaan, they told him all that had befallen them, saying,

(Gen 42:32 AMP) We are twelve brothers with the same father; one is no more, and the youngest is today with our father in the land of Canaan.

(Gen 42:36 AMP) And Jacob their father said to them, You have bereaved me! Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and you would take Benjamin from me. All these things are against me!

(Gen 42:37 AMP) And Reuben said to his father, Slay my two sons if I do not bring [Benjamin] back to you. Deliver him into my keeping, and I will bring him back to you.

(Gen 43:7 AMP) And they said, The man asked us straightforward questions about ourselves and our relatives. He said, Is your father still alive? Have you another brother? And we answered him accordingly. How could we know that he would say, Bring your brother down here?

(Gen 43:8 AMP) And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

(Gen 43:11 AMP) And their father Israel said to them, If it must be so, now do this; take of the choicest products in the land in your sacks and carry down a present to the man, a little balm (balsam) and a little honey, aromatic spices and gum (of rock rose) or ladanum, pistachio nuts, and almonds.

(Gen 43:23 AMP) But [the steward] said, Peace be to you, fear not; your God and the God of your father has given you treasure in your sacks. I received your money. And he brought Simeon out to them.

(Gen 43:28 AMP) And they answered, Your servant our father is in good health; he is still alive. And they bowed down their heads and made obeisance.

(Gen 44:20 AMP) And we said to my lord, We have a father--an old man--and a young [brother, the] child of his old age; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother's [offspring], and his father loves him.

(Gen 44:22 AMP) And we said to my lord, The lad cannot leave his father; for if he should do so, his father would die.

(Gen 44:25 AMP) And our father said, Go again and buy us a little food.

(Gen 44:27 AMP) And your servant my father said to us, You know that [Rachel] my wife bore me two sons:

(Gen 44:30 AMP) Now therefore, when I come to your servant my father and the lad is not with us, since his life is bound up in the lad's life and his soul knit with the lad's soul,

(Gen 44:32 AMP) For your servant became security for the lad to my father, saying, If I do not bring him to you, then I will bear the blame to my father forever.

(Gen 44:34 AMP) For how can I go up to my father if the lad is not with me?--lest I witness the woe and the evil that will come upon my father.

(Gen 45:3 AMP) And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph! Is my father still alive? And his brothers could not reply, for they were distressingly disturbed and dismayed at [the startling realization that they were in] his presence.

(Gen 45:8 AMP) So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

(Gen 45:9 AMP) Hurry and go up to my father and tell him, Your son Joseph says this to you: God has put me in charge of all Egypt. Come down to me; do not delay.

(Gen 45:13 AMP) And you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.

(Gen 45:18 AMP) And get your father and your households and come to me. And I will give you the best in the land of Egypt and you will live on the fat of the land.

(Gen 45:23 AMP) And to his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-donkeys laden with grain, bread, and nourishing food and provision for his father [to supply all who were with him] on the way.

(Gen 46:3 AMP) And He said, I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will there make of you a great nation.

(Gen 46:29 AMP) Then Joseph made ready his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen; and he presented himself and gave distinct evidence of himself to him [that he was Joseph], and [each] fell on the [other's] neck and wept on his neck a good while.

(Gen 46:31 AMP) Joseph said to his brothers and to his father's household, I will go up and tell Pharaoh and say to him, My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

(Gen 46:34 AMP) You shall say, Your servants' occupation has been as keepers of livestock from our youth until now, both we and our fathers before us--in order that you may live in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.

(Gen 47:1 AMP) THEN JOSEPH came and told Pharaoh, My father and my brothers, with their flocks and their herds and all that they own, have come from the land of Canaan, and they are in the land of Goshen.

(Gen 47:6 AMP) The land of Egypt is before you; make your father and your brothers dwell in the best of the land. Let them live in the land of Goshen. And if you know of any men of ability among them, put them in charge of my cattle.

(Gen 47:7 AMP) Then Joseph brought in Jacob his father and presented him before Pharaoh; and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

(Gen 47:11 AMP) Joseph settled his father and brethren and gave them a possession in Egypt in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses (Goshen), as Pharaoh commanded.

(Gen 47:12 AMP) And Joseph supplied his father and his brethren and all his father's household with food, according to [the needs of] their families.

(Gen 48:1 AMP) SOME TIME after these things occurred, someone told Joseph, Behold, your father is sick. And he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim [and went to Goshen].

(Gen 48:9 AMP) And Joseph said to his father, They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place. And he said, Bring them to me, I pray you, that I may bless them.

(Gen 48:12 AMP) Then Joseph took [the boys] from [his father's embrace] and he bowed [before him] with his face to the earth.

(Gen 48:17 AMP) When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on Ephraim's head, it displeased him; and he held up his father's hand to move it to Manasseh's head.

(Gen 48:18 AMP) And Joseph said, Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn; put your right hand upon his head.

(Gen 48:19 AMP) But his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people and shall be great; but his younger brother shall be [3] greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.

(Gen 49:25 AMP) By the God of your father, Who will help you, and by the Almighty, Who will bless you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings lying in the deep beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

(Gen 49:26 AMP) The blessings of your father [on you] are greater than the blessings of my forefathers [Abraham and Isaac on me] and are as lasting as the bounties of the eternal hills; they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him who was the consecrated one and the one separated from his brethren and [the one who] is prince among them.

(Gen 49:28 AMP) All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them as he blessed them, blessing each one according to the blessing suited to him.

(Gen 50:1 AMP) THEN JOSEPH fell upon his father's face and wept over him and kissed him.

(Gen 50:5 AMP) My father made me swear, saying, I am about to die; in my tomb which I hewed out for myself in the land of Canaan, there you shall bury me. So now let me go up, I pray you, and bury my father, and I will come again.

(Gen 50:8 AMP) And all the household of Joseph and his brethren and his father's household. Only their little ones and their flocks and herds they left in the land of Goshen.

(Gen 50:14 AMP) After he had buried his father, Joseph returned to Egypt, he and his brethren and all who had gone up with him.

(Gen 50:15 AMP) When Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Perhaps now Joseph will hate us and will pay us back for all the evil we did to him.

(Num 36:3 AMP) But if they are married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the Israelites, then their inheritance will be taken from that of our fathers and added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they are received and belong; so it will be taken out of the lot of our inheritance.

(Deu 5:16 AMP) Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

(Deu 21:19 AMP) Then his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives,

(Deu 22:15 AMP) Then the father of the young woman, and her mother, shall get and bring out the tokens of her virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.

(Deu 22:16 AMP) And her father shall say to the elders, I gave my daughter to this man as wife, but he hates and spurns her;

(Deu 22:19 AMP) And they shall fine him 100 shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought an evil name upon a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he may not divorce her all his days.

(Deu 22:21 AMP) Then they shall bring her to the door of her father's house and the men of her city shall stone her to death, because she has wrought [criminal] folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father's house. So you shall put away the evil from among you.

(Deu 22:29 AMP) Then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her; he may not divorce her all his days.

(Deu 22:30 AMP) A man shall not take his father's former wife, nor shall he uncover her who belongs to his father.

(Deu 26:5 AMP) And you shall say before the Lord your God, A wandering and lost Aramean ready to perish was my father [Jacob], and he went down into Egypt and sojourned there, few in number, and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and numerous.

(Deu 27:16 AMP) Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother. All the people shall say, Amen.

(Deu 27:20 AMP) Cursed is he who lies with his father's wife, because he uncovers what belongs to his father. All the people shall say, Amen.

(Deu 27:22 AMP) Cursed is he who lies with his half sister, whether his father's or his mother's daughter. All the people shall say, Amen.

(Deu 32:6 AMP) Do you thus repay the Lord, you foolish and senseless people? Is not He your Father Who acquired you for His own, Who made and established you [as a nation]?

(Deu 33:9 AMP) [Aaron] who [2] said of his father and mother, I do not regard them; nor did he acknowledge his brothers or openly recognize his own children. For the priests observed Your word and kept Your covenant [as to their limitations].

(Jos 2:13 AMP) And save alive my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all they have, and deliver us from death.

(Jos 6:23 AMP) So the young men, the spies, went in and brought out Rahab, her father and mother, her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred and set them outside the camp of Israel.

(Jos 6:25 AMP) So Joshua saved Rahab the harlot, with her father's household and all that she had; and she lives in Israel even to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

(Jos 15:18 AMP) When Achsah came to Othniel, she got his consent to ask her father for a field. Then she returned to Caleb and when she lighted off her donkey, Caleb said, What do you wish?

(Jos 24:2 AMP) Joshua said to all the people, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt in olden times beyond the Euphrates River, including Terah the father of Abraham and Nahor, and they served other gods.

(Jos 24:3 AMP) And I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates River and led him through all the land of Canaan and multiplied his offspring. I gave him Isaac,

(Jdg 1:14 AMP) And when she came to [Othniel], she got his consent to ask her father for a [sloping] field. And she alighted off her donkey, and Caleb said to her, What do you want?

(Jdg 1:16 AMP) And the descendants of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up with the Judahites from the City of Palms (Jericho) into the Wilderness of Judah, which lies in the South (the Negeb) near Arad; and they went and dwelt with the people.

(Jdg 4:11 AMP) Now Heber the Kenite, of the descendants of Hobab, the father-in-law of Moses, had separated from the Kenites and encamped as far away as the oak in Zaanannim, which is near Kedesh.

(Jdg 6:13 AMP) And Gideon said to him, O sir, if the Lord is with us, why is all this befallen us? And where are all His wondrous works of which our fathers told us, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord has forsaken us and given us into the hand of Midian.

(Jdg 6:25 AMP) That night the Lord said to Gideon, Take your father's bull, the second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal that your father has and cut down the Asherah [symbol of the goddess Asherah] that is beside it;

(Jdg 9:5 AMP) And he went to his father's house at Ophrah and slew his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerubbaal, was left, for he hid himself.

(Jdg 9:17 AMP) For my father fought for you, jeopardized his life, and rescued you from the hand of Midian;

(Jdg 9:18 AMP) And you have risen up against my father's house this day and have slain his sons, seventy men, on one stone and have made Abimelech, son of his maidservant, king over the people of Shechem because he is your kinsman--

(Jdg 11:36 AMP) And she said to him, My father, if you have opened your mouth to the Lord, do to me according to what you have vowed, since the Lord has taken vengeance for you on your enemies, the Ammonites.

(Jdg 11:37 AMP) And she said to her father, Let this thing be done for me; let me alone two months, that I may go and wander upon the mountains and bewail my virginity, I and my companions.

(Jdg 11:39 AMP) At the end of two months she returned to her father, who [1] did with her according to his vow which he had vowed. She never mated with a man. This became a custom in Israel--

(Jdg 14:2 AMP) And he came up and told his father and mother, I saw one of the daughters of the Philistines at Timnah; now get her for me as my wife.

(Jdg 14:3 AMP) But his father and mother said to him, Is there not a woman among the daughters of your kinsmen or among all our people, that you must go to take a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said to his father, Get her for me, for she is all right in my eyes.

(Jdg 14:4 AMP) His father and mother did not know that it was of the Lord, and that He sought an occasion for assailing the Philistines. At that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

(Jdg 14:5 AMP) Then Samson and his father and mother went down to Timnah and came to the vineyards of Timnah. And behold, a young lion roared against him.

(Jdg 14:9 AMP) And he scraped some of the honey out into his hands and went along eating. And he came to his father and mother and gave them some, and they ate it; but he did not tell them he had taken the honey from the body of the lion.

(Jdg 14:10 AMP) His father went down to the woman, and Samson made a feast there, for that was the customary thing for young men to do.

(Jdg 15:2 AMP) And her father said, I truly thought you utterly hated her, so I gave her to your companion. Is her younger sister not fairer than she? Take her, I pray you, instead.

(Jdg 16:31 AMP) Then his kinsmen and all the tribal family of his father came down, took his body, and brought it up; and they buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the burial place of Manoah his father. He had judged Israel [that is, had defended the Israelites] twenty years.(1)

(Jdg 17:10 AMP) And Micah said to him, Dwell with me and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver each year, a suit of clothes, and your living. So the Levite went in.

(Jdg 18:19 AMP) And they said to him, Be still, put your hand over your mouth, and come with us, and be to us a father and a priest. Is it better for you to be a priest to the house of one man, or that you be a priest to a tribe and family in Israel?

(Jdg 19:2 AMP) And his concubine was untrue to him and went away from him to her father's house at Bethlehem of Judah and stayed there the space of four months.

(Jdg 19:4 AMP) And his father-in-law, the girl's father, [insistently] detained him, and he remained with him three days. So they ate and drank, and he lodged there.

(Jdg 19:6 AMP) So both men sat down and ate and drank together, and the girl's father said to the man, Consent to stay all night and let your heart be merry.

(Jdg 19:7 AMP) And when the man rose up to depart, his father-in-law urged him; so he lodged there again.

(Jdg 19:8 AMP) And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart, but the girl's father said, Strengthen your heart and tarry until toward evening. So they ate, both of them.

(Jdg 19:9 AMP) And when the man and his concubine and his servant rose up to leave, his father-in-law, the girl's father, said to him, Behold, now the day draws toward evening, I pray you stay all night. Behold, now the day grows to an end, lodge here and let your heart be merry, and tomorrow get early on your way and go home.

(1Sa 2:30 AMP) Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, says, I did promise that your house and that of your father [forefather Aaron] should go in and out before Me forever. But now the Lord says, Be it far from Me. For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

(1Sa 9:3 AMP) The donkeys of Kish, Saul's father, were lost. Kish said to Saul, Take a servant with you and go, look for the donkeys.

(1Sa 10:12 AMP) One from that same place answered, But who is the father of the others? So it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?

(1Sa 12:8 AMP) When Jacob and his sons had come into Egypt [and the Egyptians oppressed them], and your fathers cried to the Lord, then the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought forth your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place.

(1Sa 14:27 AMP) But Jonathan had not heard when his father charged the people with the oath. So he dipped the end of the rod in his hand into a honeycomb and put it to his mouth, and his [weary] eyes brightened.

(1Sa 14:28 AMP) Then one of the men told him, Your father strictly charged the men with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man who eats any food today. And the people were exhausted and faint.

(1Sa 14:29 AMP) Then Jonathan said, My father has troubled the land. See how my eyes have brightened because I tasted a little of this honey.

(1Sa 14:51 AMP) Kish the father of Saul and Ner the father of Abner were sons of Abiel.

(1Sa 17:34 AMP) And David said to Saul, Your servant kept his father's sheep. And when there came a lion or again a bear and took a lamb out of the flock,

(1Sa 18:18 AMP) David said to Saul, Who am I, and what is my life or my father's family in Israel, that I should be the king's son-in-law?

(1Sa 19:2 AMP) But Jonathan, Saul's son, delighted much in David, and he told David, Saul my father is seeking to kill you. Now therefore, take heed to yourself in the morning, and stay in a secret place and hide yourself.

(1Sa 19:3 AMP) And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are; and I will converse with my father about you and if I learn anything, I will tell you.

(1Sa 19:4 AMP) And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, Let not the king sin against his servant David, for he has not sinned against you, and his deeds have been of good service to you.

(1Sa 20:2 AMP) Jonathan said, God forbid! You shall not die. My father does nothing great or small but what he tells me. And why should [he] hide this thing from me? It is not so.

(1Sa 20:3 AMP) But David replied, Your father certainly knows that I have found favor in your eyes, and he thinks, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved. But truly as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.

(1Sa 20:6 AMP) If your father misses me at all, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem, his city, for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family.

(1Sa 20:12 AMP) Jonathan said to David, The Lord, the God of Israel, be witness. When I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he is well inclined toward David, and I do not send and let you know it,

(1Sa 20:13 AMP) The Lord do so, and much more, to Jonathan. But if it please my father to do you harm, then I will disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And may the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

(1Sa 20:32 AMP) Jonathan answered Saul his father, Why should he be killed? What has he done?

(1Sa 22:3 AMP) And David went from there to Mizpah of Moab; and he said to the king of Moab, Let my father [of Moabite descent] and my mother, I pray you, come out [of Judah] and be with you till I know what God will do for me.(1)

(1Sa 23:17 AMP) He said to him, Fear not; the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. Saul my father knows that too.

(1Sa 24:11 AMP) See, my father, see the skirt of your robe in my hand! Since I cut off the skirt of your robe and did not kill you, you know and see that there is no evil or treason in my hands. I have not sinned against you, yet you hunt my life to take it.

(2Sa 2:32 AMP) And they took up Asahel and buried him in the tomb of his father at Bethlehem. And Joab and his men walked all night and came to Hebron at daybreak.

(2Sa 3:29 AMP) Let it fall on the head of Joab and on all his father's house; and let the house of Joab never be without one who has a discharge or is a leper or walks with a crutch or is a distaff holder [unfit for war] or who falls by the sword or lacks food!

(2Sa 6:21 AMP) David said to Michal, It was before the Lord, Who chose me above your father and all his house to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the Lord. Therefore will I make merry [in pure enjoyment] before the Lord.

(2Sa 7:14 AMP) I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. When he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the sons of men.

(2Sa 9:7 AMP) David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father [grandfather], and you shall eat at my table always.

(2Sa 10:2 AMP) David said, I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, as his father did to me. So David sent his servants to console him for his father's death; and they came into the land of the Ammonites,

(2Sa 10:3 AMP) But the princes of the Ammonites said to Hanun their lord, Do you think that it is because David honors your father that he has sent comforters to you? Has he not rather sent his servants to you to search the city, spy it out, and overthrow it?

(2Sa 13:5 AMP) Jonadab said to him, Go to bed and pretend you are sick; and when your father David comes to see you, say to him, Let my sister Tamar come and give me food and prepare it in my sight, that I may see it and eat it from her hand.

(2Sa 13:37 AMP) But Absalom fled and went to [his mother's father] Talmai son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son [Amnon] every day.

(2Sa 14:20 AMP) In order to change the course of matters [between Absalom and his father] your servant Joab did this. But my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God--to know all things that are on the earth.

(2Sa 15:34 AMP) But if you return to the city and say to Absalom, I will be your servant, O king; as I have been your father's servant in the past, so will I be your servant now, then you may defeat for me the counsel of Ahithophel.

(2Sa 16:21 AMP) And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in to your father's concubines whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be made strong.

(2Sa 17:8 AMP) For, said Hushai, you know your father and his men, that they are mighty men, and they are embittered and enraged like a bear robbed of her whelps in the field. And your father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.

(2Sa 19:28 AMP) For all of my father's house were but doomed to death before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those who ate at your own table. What right therefore have I to cry any more to the king?

(2Sa 19:37 AMP) Let your servant turn back again, that I may die in my own city and be buried by the grave of my father and mother. But here is your servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king. And do to him what shall seem good to you.

(2Sa 21:14 AMP) And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son they buried in the country of Benjamin in Zelah in the tomb of Kish, [Saul's] father, and they did all that the king commanded. And after that, God heard and answered when His people prayed for the land.

(1Ki 1:6 AMP) David his father had never in his life displeased him by asking, Why have you done so? He was also a very attractive man and was born after Absalom.

(1Ki 1:21 AMP) Otherwise, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, I and my son Solomon shall be counted as offenders.

(1Ki 2:12 AMP) Then Solomon sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established.

(1Ki 3:6 AMP) Solomon said, You have shown to Your servant David my father great mercy and loving-kindness, according as he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and uprightness of heart with You; and You have kept for him this great kindness and steadfast love, that You have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

(1Ki 3:7 AMP) Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of David my father, and I am [3] but a lad [in wisdom and experience]; I know not how to go out (begin) or come in (finish).

(1Ki 5:3 AMP) You know how David my father could not build a house to the Name of the Lord his God because wars were about him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under his feet.(1)

(1Ki 5:5 AMP) And I purpose to build a house to the Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord said to David my father, Your son whom I will set on your throne in your place shall build the house to My Name and Presence.

(1Ki 7:14 AMP) He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in bronze. He was full of wisdom, understanding, and skill to do any kind of work in bronze. So he came to King Solomon and did all his [bronze] work.

(1Ki 8:17 AMP) Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the Name [the Presence] of the Lord, the God of Israel.

(1Ki 8:18 AMP) And the Lord said to David my father, Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for My Name, you did well that it was in your heart.

(1Ki 8:20 AMP) And the Lord has fulfilled His promise which He made: I have risen up in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and have built a house for the Name (renown) of the Lord, the God of Israel.

(1Ki 8:24 AMP) You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father. You also spoke with Your mouth and have fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day.

(1Ki 8:25 AMP) Therefore now, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David my father what You promised him when You said, There shall not fail you a man before Me to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your children take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have done.

(1Ki 9:4 AMP) And if you will walk before Me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, keeping My statutes and My precepts,

(1Ki 11:12 AMP) However, in your days I will not do it, for David your father's sake. But I will rend it out of the hand of your son!

(1Ki 11:17 AMP) But Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants, to Egypt, Hadad being yet a little child.

(1Ki 11:43 AMP) And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

(1Ki 12:4 AMP) Your father made our yoke heavy; now therefore lighten the hard service and the heavy yoke your father put upon us, and we will serve you.

(1Ki 12:6 AMP) And King Rehoboam consulted with the old men who stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived and said, How do you advise me to answer this people?

(1Ki 12:10 AMP) The young men who grew up with him answered, To the people who told you, Your father made our yoke heavy, but you make it lighter for us--say this, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.

(1Ki 12:11 AMP) And now whereas my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

(1Ki 12:14 AMP) And spoke to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke; he chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

(1Ki 13:12 AMP) Their father asked them, Which way did he go? For his sons had seen which way the man of God who came from Judah had gone.

(1Ki 15:3 AMP) He walked in all the sins of his father [Rehoboam] before him; and his heart was not blameless with the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father [forefather].

(1Ki 15:6 AMP) There was war between [Abijam's father] Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of [Rehoboam's] life.

(1Ki 15:15 AMP) He brought the things which his father had dedicated and the things which he himself had dedicated into the house of the Lord--silver, gold, and vessels.

(1Ki 15:19 AMP) Let there be a league between me and you, as was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending you a present of silver and gold; go, break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me.

(1Ki 15:24 AMP) Asa slept with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of David his father. Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead.

(1Ki 18:18 AMP) Elijah replied, I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father's house, by forsaking the commandments of the Lord and by following the Baals.

(1Ki 19:20 AMP) He left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, Let me kiss my father and mother, and then I will follow you. And he [testing Elisha] said, Go on back. What have I done to you? [Settle it for yourself.]

(1Ki 20:34 AMP) Ben-hadad [tempting him] said, The cities which my father took from your father I will restore; and you may maintain bazaars of your own in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria. Then, said Ahab, I will send you away on these terms. So he made a covenant with him and sent him away.

(1Ki 22:43 AMP) He walked in all the ways or customs of Asa his father, never swerving from it, doing right in the sight of the Lord. However, the [idolatrous] high places were not taken away; for the people still sacrificed and burned incense in the high places.

(1Ki 22:50 AMP) Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers and was buried with them in the city of David his father [forefather]. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

(2Ki 3:2 AMP) He did evil in the sight of the Lord, but not like his father and mother; for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.

(2Ki 3:13 AMP) And Elisha said to the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your [wicked] father Ahab and your [wicked] mother Jezebel. But the king of Israel said to him, No, for the Lord has called [us] three kings together to be delivered into the hand of Moab.

(2Ki 4:19 AMP) But he said to his father, My head, my head! The man said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.

(2Ki 5:13 AMP) And his servants came near and said to him, My father, if the prophet had bid you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather, then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean?

(2Ki 21:3 AMP) For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal and made an Asherah, as did Ahab king of Israel, and worshiped all the [starry] hosts of the heavens and served them!
